AISI 316Ti

Austentic

AISI 316Ti stainless steel is an austenitic alloy that includes titanium as a stabilizing element, enhancing its resistance to intergranular corrosion, especially after welding. With a composition of 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, and 0.5-1.0% titanium, it provides excellent corrosion resistance in chloride environments, making it suitable for marine and chemical processing applications. 316Ti maintains good mechanical properties at elevated temperatures and offers enhanced durability compared to standard 316 stainless steel. Its ability to withstand high-stress conditions and resist pitting makes it ideal for components in aggressive environments, such as heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
