AISI 925
Nickel Alloy
Nickel alloy 925 (Alloy 925 or Inconel 925) is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-based alloy known for its excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and resistance to stress-corrosion cracking. It contains a mix of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, iron, and titanium, offering enhanced mechanical properties, particularly in aggressive environments such as oil and gas production. The addition of titanium and aluminum allows for age-hardening, improving strength without sacrificing toughness. Alloy 925 is commonly used in downhole and surface gas well components, valves, and marine applications, where high strength and resistance to corrosion and pitting are critical.
